Oleksiy Kanke was born in Kiev, in a family of musicians. He is now a graduate at the Kyiv specialized secondary music boarding school named after M. Lysenko, in the class of professor Natalia Grydneva who taught many remarkable Ukrainian pianists (Vadym Kholodenko, Оleh Polyansky, Oleksiy Grynyuk, Oleksandr Grynyuk, Mykhailo Danchenko, Oleksandr Poliakov and others).

Oleksiy is a prize winner of various international competitions among which the International Vladimir Krainev Competition for Young Pianists (Kharkiv), the Astana Piano Passion (Kazakhstan), or the Internation Competition for Young Pianists 'A Step Towards Mastery' (St.Petersburg). In October, 2015 he won the 1st Prize at International Piano Competition in Memory of Emil Gilels (Odessa).

in 2016, Oleksiy was awarded the 1st Prize in the Intermediate group and EMCY Prize at the International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz.In the season 2015/2016 he performed with the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by M. Stravinsky.

Oleksiy Kanke has already played many concerts in Ukrainian cities and took part in music festivals in Poland and Germany.
